Four sports bars across Grandview Heights and Upper Arlington are stocked with TVs, taps and game-day menus as the 2026 football season gets underway.

CityScene Magazine profiled the venues in an Aug. 28 guide. Here is what each offers local fans.

Pastimes Pub & Grill, Grandview Yard

The Grandview Yard location of this multi-location chain opened in 2024 on Yard Street. It packs 50 TVs into the space and carries NFL Sunday Ticket, according to the pub's website. A special game-day menu features burgers, pizzas, loaded nachos and pretzel bites. Wings come with 25 sauces and 11 dry rubs.

Daily happy hour runs 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and 28 beers rotate on tap. A pool table and arcade games fill the gaps between plays. Tuesday bingo night starts at 7 p.m. with a progressive jackpot, and Purple Panda Trivia takes over Thursdays at the same time.

Pastimes is open 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. daily. The kitchen closes at 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and at midnight Friday and Saturday.

Barrel & Taps, Grandview Heights

Open since 2019 at 1380 W. Third Ave., Barrel & Taps focuses on bourbon and craft beer. The bar has a dog-friendly patio and a bring-your-own-food policy, so fans can order from nearby restaurants and eat on-site.

Hours are Monday through Thursday 3:30 p.m. to midnight, Friday 3:30 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday noon to 2 a.m. and Sunday noon to midnight.

Pointe Tavern, Upper Arlington

Pointe Tavern sits on the banks of the Scioto River at 1991 Riverside Drive. The draw inside is Bazemore Pizza Co. Owners Billy Bazemore and Todd Crow opened the East Coast-inspired pizza operation in the summer of 2023, tucking the kitchen behind curtains near the pool table, according to Step Out Columbus.

All pies are 16 inches, finished with Romano cheese and garlic oil. A standard cheese starts at $19. In January 2025, Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy gave Bazemore a 7.4 out of 10, praising the crust, the Columbus Dispatch reported.

Bobcat Sports Bar, Grandview Heights

Co-owners Dimitri Hatzifotinos, Steve Papineau and Jeff Wagenbrenner opened Bobcat Sports Bar in 2023 at 1099 W. First Ave., according to Columbus Monthly.

The bar has 19 TVs, an arcade and a menu of stacked burgers, wings, gyros and Greek salads. Happy hour runs Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 4:30 to 7 p.m., with half-off appetizers and $1 off drinks. Thursday is 99-cent wing night. Brunch is served Friday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"I'm a proud OU Bobcat … but I also have two kids that are in Grandview schools," Hatzifotinos told NBC4 when the bar opened in 2023. "So we tried to combine the blue and white with the green and white to make a concept that is good for the whole Bobcat community."

The Ohio University Central Ohio Alumni Network counts more than 40,000 OU graduates in central Ohio, giving the bar a built-in fan base for the Columbus- and Athens-brewed beers on tap.

The NFL regular season runs through early January.
