Grandview Avenue between First Avenue and Third Avenue will shut down at 1 p.m. Aug. 29 and stay closed until after 9 p.m. for the Grandview Hop, the city of Grandview Heights announced.
The open-street night market runs from 5 to 9 p.m. along Grandview Avenue from First to Fifth avenues, but the hard road closure covers the core stretch between First and Third. The road will be closed for at least eight hours.
A free shuttle, called the Hopper, will loop between two stops: the Grandview Yard parking garage at 960 Bobcat Ave. and a lot at 1359 Grandview Ave. near West Third Avenue. For the July 25 Hop, the shuttle ran from 4 to 10 p.m. approximately every 15 to 20 minutes; organizers have not yet confirmed hours for Saturday's event, but the Grandview Hop shuttle page lists the same 4-to-10 p.m. window. Riders at previous events were directed to look for 12-foot blue "SHUTTLE" flags at each stop.
The shuttle is sponsored by CYP Club Cares and Grandview Yard.
Saturday's Hop is the third of four events in the 2026 season, which marks the Grandview Hop's 20th anniversary. The free, all-ages street festival features more than 200 pop-up vendor booths, about 20 food trucks, live music, a charity beer garden, games and outdoor activities. Leashed pets are welcome.
The event is hosted by the Columbus Young Professionals Club in partnership with the city of Grandview Heights and the city of Columbus. Since 2015, the Grandview Hop has raised more than $150,000 for local charities including Habitat for Humanity MidOhio and Ronald McDonald Charities of Central Ohio.
