The Grandview Heights Public Library Foundation is bringing back its annual Chocolate Walk, sending ticketholders to 26 local businesses for an evening of sweets on Oct. 8.
The 12th edition of the fundraiser runs from 6 to 8 p.m. across Grandview Heights' walkable business district, according to the GHPL Foundation. Tickets cost $25. Availability is limited.
Ticketholders can pick up their passes inside the Grandview Heights Public Library's First Avenue front doors from 4 to 6 p.m. that day. The library is at 1685 West First Ave., Columbus.
The roster of 26 participating businesses spans restaurants, shops and salons. It includes Pure Imagination Chocolatier, Johnson's Real Ice Cream, Grandview Grind, Blue Couch Bookshop, Grandview Theater and Drafthouse, La Tavola, Z Cucina, Vinoteca, The Avenue, Aladdin's Eatery, Grandview Cafe, Lion Cub's Cookies, Red Giraffe Designs, Fine Feather, Penn and Beech, Accent on Nature, Simply Art Studios, State of Devotion, Vernacular, Boss Gal Beauty Bar, Avola Lanza Hair Studio, Doggie Day Spa, Village Squire Barber Shop, Grandview Dental, Edward Jones and Robert E. Mackey CPA LLC.
Each stop offers a chocolate treat, though the foundation has not detailed what individual businesses will serve.
Proceeds support the GHPL Foundation, which raises private funds for the long-term financial security of the Grandview Heights Public Library. The foundation's endowment fund was established through the Columbus Foundation in 1993.
As of Sept. 1, the foundation's website listed the ticket link as "coming soon." Residents can check the page for updates.
The Chocolate Walk is one of several GHPL Foundation fundraisers. The foundation also hosts its Flights with Friends wine-tasting series; the next edition is Sept. 21 at Vinoteca, as we reported Aug. 31.
