Upper Arlington High School's girls water polo team won the Ohio high school girls water polo state championship on Saturday, Oct. 31.

The Golden Bears defeated Napoleon 9-5 in the title game at Sycamore High School. UAHS Athletics announced the championship on X after the game.

UA entered the state tournament as the No. 1 seed and tournament host, according to a post from Milford Eagle Athletics on Instagram. Milford fell to the Golden Bears in the second round after cutting UA's lead to two goals in the fourth quarter.

The win gives the program back-to-back state titles. The Columbus Dispatch reported in August that UA's girls reclaimed the championship in 2025 with a 13-10 double-overtime win over Worthington Kilbourne.

The UA Girls Water Polo Instagram account rallied fans before the game, posting that the team "has poured their hearts into every minute of this season."

UAHS has won 151 state championships across 33 varsity sports, according to the school's student newspaper, the Arlingtonian.
