Upper Arlington Police Division officers helped serve a financial exploitation warrant at a Worthington Hills home Aug. 19, where a woman was found dead inside.

Perry Township Police Sgt. Eric Delbert told 10TV that Perry Township and Upper Arlington officers arrived around 2 p.m. at a residence in the 1300 block of Oakbourne Drive. The officers were executing a search warrant related to financial exploitation when they discovered the deceased woman.

Investigators believe the woman was over 75 years old, according to NBC4. Her identity has not been released.

Three other people were inside the home at the time. Police questioned all three but have filed no charges.

No arrests have been made.

Delbert said officers called in the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Franklin County Coroner's office after finding the body.

"As soon as we discovered the deceased, we notified BCI. That's their field of expertise. They bring out the crime scene investigation. They have a lot more techniques than we have on our hands," Delbert said.

He described the investigation as active, saying authorities are working to determine whether foul play was involved or whether the death was from natural causes.

Neighbor Chad Dworkin told NBC4 that residents had been worried about the woman for some time, saying neighbors knew she was in poor health and had not seen her in a couple of years. Dworkin said he hopes the investigation brings closure about what was happening at the home.

The Worthington Hills neighborhood sits in Perry Township, adjacent to Upper Arlington. The Upper Arlington Police Division's specific role in the warrant service has not been detailed by authorities, and no official statement from the division has been released.
