Grandview Heights residents can back their police department in a statewide photo contest through Wednesday, Sept. 30.
The City of Grandview Heights announced on X on Thursday, Sept. 17, that the Grandview Heights Police Department has been selected for the First Responder Photo Challenge. The city called the contest "a celebration of Ohio's public safety agencies & the communities they serve" and asked residents to vote for the department in Category 4.
Public voting opened Sept. 11 and closes Sept. 30 at lightohioblue.org.
The challenge is organized by Light Ohio Blue, a statewide group that has supported Ohio law enforcement through events, photo contests and community programs since 2016. The organization says it has engaged 786 agencies and recorded more than 164,000 contest votes.
