Three eastbound lanes on Interstate 70 between State Route 142 and Hilliard-Rome Road are open again after construction work reduced the corridor to fewer lanes.

The Ohio Department of Transportation's Columbus-area office announced the reopening on X on Thursday, Oct. 22. "I-70 eastbound between SR 142 and Hilliard-Rome Rd. has reopened to three lanes," the post stated.

The segment sits west of Columbus and feeds traffic toward the I-70/I-270 interchange.

ODOT's post did not describe the scope of the project, when the lane restrictions began or how long they lasted.

The agency's earlier post had teased the reopening, writing that three eastbound lanes were "coming soon." No timeline has been given for any remaining work on adjacent segments of the highway.
