Klutch Cannabis opened its second Columbus-area dispensary at 1305 Holly Ave. on Sept. 11, bringing a new cannabis retailer to the doorstep of Grandview Heights.
The Akron-based company acquired the location from Culture Cannabis after the Ohio Division of Cannabis Control approved the transfer, according to a Klutch press release dated Sept. 1. Former Culture Cannabis staff members joined the Klutch team as part of the deal.
The store is open.
It carries flower, pre-rolls, edibles, vapes, concentrates and merchandise under house brands Klutch Cannabis, Citizen by Klutch and Habitat by Klutch, along with products from partner brands and other Ohio cannabis companies.
The grand opening featured promotions, limited product releases and customer giveaways, the press release said. Klutch founder and CEO Adam Thomarios said in a Sept. 1 statement that the company has been "incredibly humbled by the response we've received since opening our first Columbus dispensary … and we are excited to continue investing in one of Ohio's fastest-growing cannabis markets."
Thomarios added that the Grandview location will help the company better serve customers across Central Ohio. He said the company looks forward to "servicing the Grandview community together" with former Culture Cannabis employees who stayed on.
Thomarios founded Klutch in April 2020 in Akron. The company is vertically integrated, meaning it grows, processes and sells its own cannabis products. Klutch said fans had requested a Columbus-area store for six years before the company opened its first location in the region on June 12 at 5429 Bethel Sawmill Center, according to an earlier press release. That store came through an acquisition of Farkas Farms.
Beyond Columbus, Klutch operates dispensaries in Wellington, Tallmadge, Northfield, Lorain, Cleveland and Canton.
Hours at 1305 Holly Ave. are 9 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Wednesday. Klutch is also planning to relocate its Tallmadge dispensary to a new flagship store in Akron, though no date has been announced.
