Upper Arlington carries a three-game winning streak and a No. 12 state ranking into its home game against Olentangy Liberty on Friday, Oct. 2, at Marv Moorehead Stadium. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

The Golden Bears (5-1, 1-0 OCC-Central) opened conference play Sept. 25 with a 24-7 win over Hilliard Bradley. UA led wire to wire, up 10-0 after one quarter, 17-7 at halftime and 24-7 after three.

The dual-quarterback system of Reign St. Clair and Charlie Hunt drove the offense against Bradley. St. Clair threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Hunt in the first quarter for a 10-0 lead. Hunt later capped an 80-yard drive with a 1-yard scoring run to make it 17-7 at the break, according to Yahoo Sports. In the third quarter, a 32-yard St. Clair-to-Hunt connection set up Hunt's 4-yard touchdown run that closed the scoring.

Nolan Miller's interception of Hilliard Bradley quarterback Declan O'Neil led to a 28-yard Edward Oakley field goal that opened the scoring. Bradley reached the red zone three times in the second half and came away empty each time, stopped twice on downs and once on a missed 33-yard field goal.

Olentangy Liberty (3-3) posted a 31-3 win over Dublin Coffman on Sept. 25, according to Olentangy Liberty athletics. Head coach John Sansbury, a Liberty alumnus from the school's first graduating class in 2005, has coached in 26 playoff games, including three state-semifinal appearances. Running back Grayson Davis, a Columbia University commit, also factors in the passing game.

New Albany head coach Mark Solis called the Golden Bears "extremely well coached" and "very talented" ahead of the teams' Sept. 11 game, ABC 6 reported. New Albany won that game 28-21, handing UA its lone loss of the season.

UA moved up one spot to No. 12 in the statewide High School On SI poll released Sept. 28. The OHSAA regular season ends Oct. 24, with playoffs beginning Oct. 30, according to the Columbus Dispatch.
