Upper Arlington will open the Bob Crane Community Center to a free resource fair connecting older adults, families and caregivers with local service providers on Tuesday, Sept. 22.

The Older Adult Resource Fair runs from 9 a.m. to noon at the center, 3200 Tremont Road. Attendees do not need to be Bob Crane members or Upper Arlington residents.

No registration is required.

The city's event listing describes the fair as a chance to learn about housing, financial guidance, health and wellness and other community resources that support independence and quality of life. Providers will be on hand to answer questions.

The fair is one of several events under the city's STAY UA initiative, which also includes Senior Service Saturdays and the Living Well in UA event, according to an Older Adults Advisory Board agenda packet from the board's Aug. 26 inaugural meeting.

The Bob Crane Community Center opened in April 2025. UA Parks & Recreation now offers more than 100 programs for older adults at the facility, including fitness classes, social events and technology courses, according to the advisory board packet. The center had surpassed 12,000 members as of April 2026, the City of Upper Arlington said on X.

The city also runs UA CARES, a program that connects older adults who have had emergency medical responses with longer-term support services. CARES provides home safety assessments, fall risk assessments and connections to healthcare resources. A CARES social worker was added in 2025.

A May 2026 survey on older adult services drew 792 responses. Summary findings are expected to be reviewed at the advisory board's next meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 13, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Bob Crane Community Center.

Residents with questions about the fair or other older adult services can contact Lyn Kiger, the city's community services coordinator, at 614-583-5326 or [email protected].
