Upper Arlington residents who missed the Sept. 10 open house on Henderson Road's future can still share feedback through an online survey.
The city posted the survey on its Envision Henderson project page after the open house, where the planning team presented concepts from an ongoing feasibility study. The survey covers the same material shared at the Sept. 10 event, held from 6–8 p.m. at the Municipal Services Center, 3600 Tremont Road. Responses are due by Oct. 11.
The feasibility study, led by engineering firm Burgess & Niple with support from landscape and urban design firm MKSK, is testing how the corridor plan's goals could translate into physical changes along Henderson Road. The work has been underway since 2025.
It evaluates potential intersection redesigns, pedestrian and bicycle connections, utility burial, landscaping, streetscape improvements and access management. Upper Arlington now controls the Henderson Road right-of-way to the north-side property lines, giving the city authority to pursue changes on its own.
City Council unanimously adopted the Envision Henderson Corridor Plan in March 2025 after a year-long process. More than 900 residents participated, generating more than 3,500 comments, reactions and ideas about the corridor's future, according to city records. The plan aims to improve safety, functionality and aesthetics along Henderson Road, which serves as a northern gateway into the city.
Construction is years away. The city said on its project page that major work is not expected to begin until the early 2030s. In the meantime, the city is pursuing multiple grant opportunities to help fund improvements.
Residents and area businesses can review the open house materials and complete the survey on the Envision Henderson project page at upperarlingtonoh.gov.
