The Upper Arlington Golden Bears carry a one-game winning streak into a Friday, Sept. 25, Ohio Capital Conference matchup at Hilliard Bradley, where two 4-1 teams will collide.

Head coach Justin Buttermore's squad bounced back from its only loss of the season with a 28-0 shutout of Marysville on Sept. 19, as we reported that weekend. The Bears now face a Hilliard Bradley program that also enters at 4-1.

The Jaguars, coached by Mike LoParo, have won four straight since dropping their opener to Big Walnut. That run includes a 41-7 rout of Marysville in Week 4 and a 49-14 win over Thomas Worthington on Sept. 18, according to cleveland.com's Week 5 results. The Columbus Dispatch identified Bradley as one of central Ohio's breakout teams this fall.

Upper Arlington's lone stumble came in Week 4, a 28-21 loss to New Albany. The Bears fell behind 28-7 before running back Drew Theado led a late rally that fell short. Theado finished with 92 yards on 18 carries, cleveland.com reported.

The answer against Marysville was clear. A 28-0 road shutout showed the defense had regrouped after allowing 28 points to New Albany.

Heading into Week 5, cleveland.com ranked Upper Arlington No. 5 and Hilliard Bradley No. 8 in its Central Ohio Top 10. Sports Illustrated placed the Bears at No. 15 statewide in its Sept. 15 poll.

The UA Football account on X posted the game details Monday, Sept. 21. Tickets are available through the Hilliard City Schools athletics page.

Kickoff is 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25, at Hilliard Bradley High School, 2800 Walker Road in Hilliard.
